While talking to Hollywood Reporter India, Bhansali said that Alia Bhatt had become very emotional after the cancellation of Inshallah. Sanjay Leela Bhansali said- She was broken, cried a lot, went mad with anger and locked herself in the room.
However, after just a week, Sanjay Leela Bhansali called the actress and offered her a tremendous film. He offered Gangubai Kathiawadi to Alia. Initially Alia was a little confused, because she wondered whether she would be able to do such a complex character or not.
Alia had said- ‘Where I was going to play the role of Inshallah in LA, now suddenly I will have to play the role in Kamathipura. Don’t know whether I will be able to do this or not. But then Alia prepared herself for this role, worked hard and gave an excellent performance. Alia’s film got a lot of love. Alia also received the National Award for this film.
Let us tell you that now Alia will be seen in the film Jigra. Alia is busy promoting the film these days. There is a lot of buzz about the film. Jigra is releasing on 11th October.
